DC Fire and EMS said two people have died and a person is in critical condition after a fire broke out at a home in Southeast D.C. on Sunday morning. Crews said they were dispatched to the 3400 block of 23rd St for a working fire.

Two adults are dead and one person is seriously hurt after a house fire in Southeast D.C. Firefighters responded to 23rd Street at 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning to a report of a fire. Upon arrival, they saw flames coming from the second floor of the townhouse.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said three people were shot and one died after a shooting in Northeast D.C. early Saturday. MPD said that at about 2 a.m., it responded to the report of a shooting in the 1600 block of Trinidad Avenue.
